Sailink is a sailing link between public transport hubs and other destinations along the English Channel.

Our goal is to combine the joys and sustainability of sailing with a truly user-friendly form of interlinked transport.

We provide an active and ecological mobility service to circumvent congestion points and diversify the travel experience.

Our focus is on all accessible ports and harbours convenient to public transport users, thus offering a wealth of possible crossings and routes.

Starting out, Sailink will run pre-scheduled services between selected ports.

In the future we hope to expand this to a more taxi-style user-defined route system encompassing all the identified ports plus holiday destinations such as islands and other harbours.

We are starting out sailing and want to continue sailing, meaning we will be working with wind, tide and weather so according to nature's rules. The service will be developed to achieve this.

The Sailink experience

Sailing is a truely timeless form of transport. With the necessity to severely reduce our impacts on the environment, sailing can help to get us to where we need to go and provide fulfilment whilst achieving it.

Modern catamarans ensure safety, stability, speed and space whilst their shallow draught enables flexible access to the English Channel ports.

By choosing to sail you engage in an unforgetable experience and a truly future-friendly means of mobility. You can also choose to be actively involved, to relax and to watch or to just be for yourself.

Sailink is part of a growing global capacity in sail travel and sail cargo.

Our vessels will only ever take a maximum of 12 passengers. For the first voyages this year and due to Covid restrictions we will only be taking a maximum of 4. This makes for a very convivial experience as well as a very personal one if travelling as a group or family - and an ideal adventure in the times of Coronavirus.

Safety and contentment are our main concerns. Our vessels and crew are fully certified, equipped and fit for purpose. Before, during and after the crossing we will be there to make sure you're prepared, catered for and happy to join us again.

Customs formalities are, as with any cross-border travel, an obligatory process and one we are not trying to avoid. Passengers are obliged to have all valid ID, passport and visa documents as necessary which will be checked by the authorities on leaving and entering ports. What we will be able to avoid are the mass herding practices and lengthy queues that passengers are commonly forced to endure.

Treatment of our passengers - people, like us - is central to the Sailink concept. Getting to where we want to go to requires mutal respect and cooperation. We operate an inclusive and unprejudiced service. All who we can get on and off the ship safely are welcome to come. So far, we speak English, French and German.
